Electric Mats
Electric underfloor heating mats are a type of radiant heating system that is installed beneath a floor’s surface to provide warmth and comfort. These mats consist of a series of heating cables or wires that are woven together and attached to a thin, flexible mat. The mat is then installed on top of the subfloor and covered with a layer of flooring material, such as tile, laminate, or hardwood.
The heating cables are powered by electricity and are designed to radiate heat evenly across the floor’s surface. The temperature of the heating element is controlled by a thermostat, which allows the user to adjust the temperature to their desired level. The heat generated by the electric underfloor heating mat is absorbed by the flooring material, which in turn radiates heat into the room.
Electric underfloor heating mats are typically used in bathrooms, kitchens, and other areas where hard flooring is installed. They are easy to install and can be used to supplement or replace a traditional heating system, such as a central heating system or baseboard heaters. Electric underfloor heating mats can also be installed as a primary heating source in small rooms or areas, such as a bathroom or a small kitchen.
